There were fire works before the release of two films contending for the Diwali release.

Ajay Devgn’s  Son of Sardaar  and Shah Rukh Khan’s  Jab Tak Hai Jaan.  Believe me, when I saw both the films,  I couldn’t control myself and come out with certain similarities in both the films.

While in Son of Sardaar  Ajay Devgn’s character comes to India from London. Infact, the opening song in Son of Sardaar has a good blend of Punjabi and Hindi  lyrics  and the song is set in London….

In Jab Tak Hain Jaan  the first half  Shah Rukh Khan’s character is shown to be living in London. Yeah, Shah Rukh is also shown to be singing a Punjabi song on the bridges and lanes of London.

Now about the heroines of these films.   While Sonakshi is  Ajay’s heroine in Son of Sardaar. Katrina Kaif is Shah Rukh’s  leading lady in  Jab Tak Hain Jaan.

The similarity between them ?….. Arrey both are Salman Khan proteges.  While Sonakshi hit a big time with her debut Dabangg’…. Katrina is all grateful to Salman Khan.

Now coming back to the two characters of these films.   In both the films there is a peculiar thread running. While in Son of Sardaar, Sonakshi’s character is in good friends with Arjun Bajwa’ whom the family supports as the ” hone wala damaad’….

But Sonakshi’s character does not love him and  at the end does not marry him.

In Jab Tak Hain Jaan  the role played by some new guy is also good friend of the character played by Katrina.  Infact, she is shown to be engaged to the guy  just as it happens in Son of Sardaar. In the end in Jab Tak Hain Jaan , she is not marrying the guy.

In both the films, the heroines remain good friends with the guy who lost out the heroines.

Finally, in both the films the one of the characters is waiting for her wedding with their respective fiances.   Like in Son of Sardaar  Juhi is waiting for 25 long years for Sanjay Dutt.

In Jab Tak Hain Jaan  Katrina is waiting for 10 long years for Shah Rukh…..

Yeah both films are boxoffice hits….
